Hudson SPEAKS Against Sexual Violence was honored to attend the Overdose Awareness Day Event, which included a free resource fair, naloxone administration trainings, recovery speakers, and vigil readings. According to the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics, nearly 1 million U.S. Citizens have died from drug overdose since 2000. The organizer's of the event hope to educate residents about the risk of drug overdose and how to prevent one; show that recovery is possible; provide health & wellness resources; and honor the lives of those lost to drug overdose.
